Time saving test automation approaches for your RPG Applications - Ray Everhart - Automated testing shortens development cycles, avoids cumbersome repetitive tasks and helps to improve software quality but how do you get started? And, what types of testing will benefit you most? This 18 minute power session focuses on how to build a successful foundation for automated testing and start improving your software quality.

In this session we will cover:

2. Pragmatic approaches for IBM i applications
3. Strategies for test automation and building unit tests

Scheduling in an IBM i HA Environment - Alex Rodriquez and John Massey - IBM i High Availability is critical so the Fail Over time needs to be minimized with high accuracy to have business continuity to avoid revenue loss or impact on the overall productivity of the organization. Often the Job Schedule (which is the organization’s catalyst for data and information processing) is overlooked or scarcely considered during HA/DR planning. This session from RevSoft will show how you can minimize your Fail Over time (under 1 minute) and also run automated Integrity checks to give you confidence that you are good to go should you need to Fail Over.

Charlie Berry is a Power Systems Technical Specialist in IBM's North America Public Sector and Healthcare team focusing on solution designs utilizing AIX, IBM i and Linux based systems. Career positions in retail banking, public accounting (CPA) and has over 37 years in IBM technical, consulting and management roles across a wide array of technologies and industries.  A LA native, married 37+ years, and have two married daughters and a recent grand daughter.  Golf anyone?..
