Charles GuarinoWith an IT career spanning over 30 years, Charles Guarino has been a consultant for most of them. Since 1995 he has been founder and President of Central Park Data Systems, Inc., a Long Island and New York City area based IBM midrange consulting and corporate training company. In addition to being a professional speaker across the United States and Europe, he is a frequent contributor of technical and strategic articles and webcasts for the IT community. He is a member of COMMON’s Speaker Excellence Hall of Fame and The Long Island Software and Technology Network’s Twenty Top Techies. In 2015 Charles became the proud recipient of the Al Barsa Memorial Scholarship Award. Alison Butterill is the WW IBM i Offering Manager. She owns the responsibility for the IBM i business, including defining and guiding future directions and strategies. She works with the IBM i sales, marketing, and development teams as well as clients and partners to ensure that the IBM i operating system and associated products reflect their requirements. Alison has worked in the mid-range area for more than 30 years and has held a wide variety of positions at IBM, primarily with midrange servers and software. She speaks at a wide variety of events, including industry and technical conferences around the world.

 

Scott Forstie is a Senior Technical Staff Member within IBM i development and spends most of his time working as the Db2 for i Architect. He has worked on IBM operating system development since joining IBM in 1989. Scott is a frequently published author, speaker at industry events around the globe and can be found @Forstie_IBMi and [email protected]. Scott is an avid runner and enjoys cooking.

Susan Gantner's career has spanned over 30 years in the field of application development. She began as a programmer developing applications for corporations in Atlanta, Georgia, working with a variety of hardware and software platforms. She joined IBM in 1985 and quickly developed a close association with the Rochester laboratory during the development of the AS/400 system. Susan worked in Rochester, Minnesota for 5 years in the AS/400 Technical Support Center. She later moved to the IBM Toronto Software Laboratory to provide technical support for programming languages and AD tools on IBM i. Susan left IBM in 1999 to devote more time to teaching and consulting. Her primary emphasis is on enabling customers to take advantage of the latest programming and database technologies on IBM i, including the latest features in today's modern RPG language and development tools such as RDi. Susan is a regular speaker at user group and other technical conferences around the world and holds a number of Speaker Excellence medals from COMMON. She writes frequently for both IBM Systems Magazine and for the Guru newsletter published by IT Jungle. Susan is an IBM Champion and a Technical Editor and regular author for IBM Systems Magazine. Stephanie Rabbani - A senior consultant for Seiden Group, Stephanie Rabbani has been developing web applications on the IBM i for nearly 20 years. She previously worked for BCD Software Professional Services. In her IBM i career, she has developed a large range of applications such as APIs, shopping carts, ordering, dashboards, mobile/responsive apps, warehousing, and many others for small to Fortune 500 companies. Stephanie’s favorite technologies include PHP, Python, Node.js, RPG, WebSmart, and Git. She also has in-depth experience with DB2, SQL, and the IBM i environment. Robin Tatam - Robin Tatam is the Director of Security Technologies at helpsystems and is a CISM with two decades of AS/400 and IBM i consulting experience. He has a strong midrange background that includes programming in RPG and advanced CL, web enablement using CGI and IBM refacing products, as well as systems administration. An IBM-certified technical consultant, Robin conducts technical presentations online and at user group meetings, including COMMON, where he is a subject matter expert. He has written numerous articles for leading trade journals and was the co-author of the IBM Redbook, "IBM System i Security: Protecting i5/OS Data with Encryption." Robin has also been named an IBM Power Champion in recognition for his leadership on the platform.
